bullet Conference Name Change: Effective starting with OMAE2009, the OOAE Division has changed the name of the conference to the International Conference on Ocean, Offshore, and Arctic Engineering. Several years ago, the division's name was changed, and now this name change aligns the conference and division names. In addition, the new name reflects the increased scope of the technical content of the conference, which has evolved over the years and has expanded beyond the original scope, which was reflected in the old name of Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering.  This decision was made in the February 2008 meeting of the OOAE Division's EC and EEC.
